According to the Japanese Patent Act, a PCT application may be entered into the Japanese national phase without a Japanese translation if it is within the two-month window before the 30-Month Deadline (day 1 of month 29 to last day of month 30 from the priority date). The Japanese translation filing deadline is then set two months from the national phase entry date. Please note that the translation filing is due two months from the date of the entry, not from the 30-month deadline.
